Suarez, who Politico refers to as the “charismatic Miami mayor,” is the only other candidate who is Latino.
At least two politicians have already taken advantage of a new Florida legislation that permits elected officials to hold several posts at once. Politico claims that the current governor DeSantis and another politician may have benefitted from this law.

According to Politico, Suarez is “a man who hopes to become a disrupter in the GOP presidential primary.”
“Obama’s [disruption] was the micro-contributions,” Suarez told the outlet. “Former President Trump was the earned media versus the 30-second ads.
“America is incredible,” he said. “The country picks people that no one expects, oftentimes. Right?”

“First elected with a mandate of 86 percent and then re-elected with a mandate of nearly 79 percent, Mayor Suarez has championed the integration of climate adaptive policies, Web 3.0 technology, and a free-market approach to government.”
He proudly listed his successes in an interview with Politico, including tax cuts, budget balance, more police funding, and lower crime and poverty rates.
“What we’ve done in our city is a prototype for American success,” he said.

Mixed feelings were expressed in response to the claim; some people said supportive things like, “You have my vote.”
Although others saw its promise, there was universal agreement that the moment was not right.
