Whoa! Former Fox CEO’s Widow Targets Network

The widow of former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes posted a tweet criticizing the network on her late husband’s 83rd birthday.

Elizabeth Ailes, the spouse of Roger Ailes, the creator and architect of Fox News, has taken a stance against Rupert Murdoch, the head of Fox Corporation. She holds him accountable for the network’s collapse, which her husband founded as a gathering place for conservative viewers.

Learn the reasons for Roger Ailes’ termination from Fox News in 2016 following allegations of sexual misconduct.

He passed suddenly some months after having a fall at his Palm Beach home.

Roger Ailes turned Fox News from a scruffy upstart in 1996 to the undeniable ruler of cable news in a matter of years with an unrelenting focus and astute intuition.

The network has recently fallen to depths not seen since the pre-9/11 era of terror strikes, setting new records for lows.

The abrupt and inexplicable termination of Tucker Carlson on April 24 has had a significant effect. Since then, his previous time slot has seen a sharp decline in viewership.

Because of Carlson’s absence, viewership for the prime-time period has decreased by more than 50%, and other programs have also suffered.

On a Monday morning, Elizabeth Ailes blamed Rupert Murdoch for undermining her husband’s legacy and hinted at the network’s demise.

“Happy Heavenly Birthday Roger Ailes,” Tweets from Elizabeth Ailes.

“It took you 20 years to build Fox News into the powerhouse that it was and only 6 years for the Murdochs to wreak havoc,” she added.

She concluded, “Rupert thought he could do your job. What a joke. He has the checkbook but could never come close to your genius. RIP.”

Roger Ailes resigned from his position just months before the 2016 election and as an outside inquiry of the company’s culture was proceeding.

Ailes refuted the charges, but he died before getting a chance to stand up for himself in court. The claims, in his opinion, were “offensive.”

Fox News’ original CEO is replaced by Suzanne Scott as CEO.

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch hired renowned GOP strategist Roger Ailes to be a crucial political advisor when he launched Fox News.

Presidents Nixon, Reagan, and George H.W. Bush once paid him attention.
