Ohio Early Vote Numbers Stun Democrats

Ohio Republicans are heading into the final hours before Election Day with several reasons for optimism. A substantial early voting advantage, a powerful fundraising operation backed by President Donald Trump, and key endorsements from law enforcement are giving the GOP considerable momentum as it seeks to defend its Senate seat and strengthen its position across the state.

At the center of the political battle is Republican Sen. Jon Husted, who faces former Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown in one of the most closely watched Senate contests of the 2026 midterm elections.

And according to a new analysis of Ohio’s early and absentee voting numbers, Republicans may already have established a significant advantage.
