Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed has found himself at the center of another political controversy after launching into a personal attack on War Secretary Pete Hegseth during a podcast appearance.
Rather than focusing on Hegseth’s leadership, military policies, or qualifications for office, El-Sayed took aim at his upbringing, athletic ability, and the encouragement he supposedly received from his parents.
The remarks, delivered during an appearance on the Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know podcast, included comparisons between the experiences of white and brown children growing up in America.
