Michigan Sends Democrats a Brutal Signal!

Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers has secured a notable fundraising advantage over Democratic rival Abdul El-Sayed among donors who previously supported Rep. Haley Stevens during Michigan’s Democratic Senate primary, according to a new analysis. The findings offer Rogers a potential boost as the two candidates battle for a Senate seat that could help determine which party controls the chamber after the November elections.

The analysis, conducted by The Donor Class, found that more former Stevens donors who contributed to either candidate after her primary defeat chose to support Rogers rather than El-Sayed. The Republican also collected the larger share of the money donated by that group, giving his campaign a financial advantage among contributors who had previously backed a Democratic candidate.

Although the numbers do not necessarily predict how voters will cast their ballots, they highlight a potentially significant development in a closely contested race. Rogers has demonstrated an ability to attract financial support from at least part of the Democratic establishment’s donor network, while El-Sayed faces the challenge of consolidating support within his own party heading into the general election.
