A New York man accused of making chilling death threats against U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro allegedly did far more than rage behind a computer screen.
Federal authorities say Daniel Kretsinger of Hauppauge, Long Island, admitted traveling to Washington, D.C., Florida, and New York while attempting to locate Pirro — after allegedly posting videos threatening to shoot the Trump-appointed prosecutor.
The case is drawing renewed attention to threats against public officials and the difficult decisions courts face when defendants accused of making violent threats also present serious mental-health concerns.
