On Tuesday, the House of Representatives approved H.R. 9770, a continuing resolution designed to fund the federal government through December 4, 2026. The legislation passed on a 220-205 vote, marking another significant win for GOP leadership and setting the stage for a swift move through the Senate before landing on President Donald Trump’s desk.
The vote highlighted overwhelming Republican unity. A total of 213 Republicans voted in favor of the measure, while only one member of the conference opposed it. Six Democrats broke ranks to support the bill, and one Independent also voted yes. Four Republicans and two Democrats were absent and did not cast votes.
