The sweeping primary wins not only reinforced President Donald Trump’s standing among Republican voters, but also set the stage for what conservatives hope will be a successful effort to reclaim Arizona’s governor’s office and defend critical congressional seats in the upcoming midterm elections.
One of the most closely watched races of the night centered on Rep. Andy Biggs, the longtime conservative firebrand and former chairman of the House Freedom Caucus.
