DHS Flags 256,000 Voter Records in 4 Blue States

A new effort by the Department of Homeland Security has reignited the national debate over election integrity after federal officials said they identified hundreds of thousands of voter registrations that may belong to noncitizens in four Democrat-controlled states.

The findings, announced by the Trump administration, have prompted renewed calls for states to cooperate with federal authorities as officials work to verify the registrations. The administration argues that protecting voter rolls is essential to ensuring confidence in future elections.

According to DHS, California, New Jersey, Nevada, and Pennsylvania were notified that federal databases produced approximately 256,000 potential matches between voter registration records and known noncitizens.
