One suspect was reportedly arrested in Cincinnati, although officials have not yet released additional information about that individual’s identity or alleged role in the conspiracy. Authorities have likewise withheld several investigative details as the case continues to develop.
Investigators reportedly uncovered encrypted conversations taking place on the Signal messaging platform involving 23 users. Those communications, according to Fox News, outlined plans for an elaborate attack centered around the UFC Freedom 250 event, which attracted thousands of spectators and high-profile guests.
The alleged plan called for drones carrying explosives to strike buildings located near the White House South Lawn, where the event was being held. Officials believe the explosions would have triggered widespread panic among attendees attempting to flee the area.
As terrified spectators rushed to evacuate, investigators say sniper teams positioned nearby would have opened fire on the fleeing crowd, dramatically increasing the potential death toll. Authorities believe the two-phase strategy was specifically designed to maximize chaos and overwhelm first responders.
Fox News also reported that one individual allegedly connected to the investigation told authorities the intended targets included “capitalist elites,” “billionaires” or, as Fox News described them, “politicians who received donations from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.”
Patel emphasized that the successful disruption of the alleged terror plot reflects exactly what Americans expect from federal law enforcement agencies tasked with protecting the homeland.

The UFC Freedom 250 event featured seven mixed martial arts bouts inside a specially constructed octagon on the White House South Lawn, making it one of the most unique sporting events ever hosted at the presidential residence.
President Donald Trump attended the historic event alongside members of his family as he celebrated his 80th birthday, according to CNN. Had the alleged attack been carried out as investigators believe it was planned, the consequences could have been catastrophic for attendees, participants, law enforcement personnel, and some of the nation’s most prominent political figures.
