The convicted founder behind a sprawling $250 million child nutrition fraud scheme is now publicly questioning whether Ilhan Omar could truly have been unaware of what was unfolding under her political watch. That skepticism is now being echoed at the highest levels of congressional oversight, with a major Republican lawmaker suggesting the congresswoman could be in serious legal jeopardy as federal investigators intensify their work.
According to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, the situation surrounding Omar is rapidly developing into a far more significant matter than initially acknowledged. Speaking in an interview with Miranda Devine on Pod Force One, Comer made his position unmistakably clear.
“I do think Ilhan Omar is in a lot of trouble,” Comer said.
Comer pointed to congressional earmarks tied to Omar’s district, which his investigative team has scrutinized closely. He suggested some of the funding requests may have intersected with fraudulent activity tied to Minnesota’s now-infamous Feeding Our Future scandal.
