Former First Lady Jill Biden is making the media rounds ahead of the release of her upcoming memoir, View from the East Wing, but one recent admission may have opened a political wound that Democrats hoped had already healed.
During an interview with CBS News, Jill Biden reflected on the disastrous June 2024 debate that ultimately accelerated the collapse of Joe Biden’s reelection campaign. What she revealed has reignited questions that many Americans have been asking for years.
According to Jill Biden, watching her husband on stage that night left her genuinely frightened.
“I don’t know what happened,” she said. “As I watched it, I thought, ‘Oh, my God, he’s having a stroke.’ And it scared me to death.”
The statement immediately created a problem.
If she truly believed the sitting president of the United States was suffering a medical emergency in front of tens of millions of Americans, why did she spend the hours afterward publicly praising his performance instead of demanding immediate medical attention?
