Anger boiled over on left-wing television this weekend as Democrat super-lawyer Marc Elias suffered another major setback in the escalating national redistricting fight — and conservatives are taking notice.
The longtime Democrat attorney, who became one of the most recognizable legal figures behind the Left’s election operations during the Trump years, appeared visibly rattled during an interview on MSNOW after several recent court developments threatened maps favored by Democrats and progressive activists.
The latest blow came after the state of Alabama filed an emergency appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday, urging the justices to allow the state to discard its current congressional map and move forward with a new district layout.
The move follows a major Supreme Court decision involving neighboring Louisiana, where the high court recently determined that a newly-designed congressional map violated constitutional standards on redistricting. The decision immediately sent shockwaves through Democrat legal circles and reignited nationwide battles over congressional boundaries ahead of upcoming elections.
