Sen. Rand Paul is intensifying his long-standing push to bring accountability to former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci, arguing that time is running out for federal prosecutors to take action.
In a sharply worded statement posted Monday afternoon on X, Paul suggested that the window for potential criminal charges is closing fast and urged the Department of Justice to move immediately.
“The DOJ has ONE WEEK left to charge Anthony Fauci for the worst cover-up in modern medical history,” Paul wrote.
The Kentucky Republican went further, accusing Fauci of misleading lawmakers about key issues tied to COVID-19 research and its origins.
