President Donald Trump rolled out a sweeping new effort to prop up America’s struggling agricultural sector, signaling a renewed push to lower costs for farmers while taking direct aim at policies from the Joe Biden era that he says crippled the industry.
Speaking from the White House South Lawn, Trump framed the initiative as part of a broader economic reset focused on energy, food production, and rural America. With fuel prices and regulatory burdens squeezing farm operations nationwide, the administration is now moving aggressively to reverse course and restore profitability to U.S. agriculture.
“Every day we’re looking for new ways to support our farmers, reduce your costs, and to help lower the price of food for the American family,” Trump said. “We’re going to prove that the golden age of American agriculture is right here and right now.”
The plan centers on cutting red tape, expanding access to capital, and delivering targeted financial relief. Officials say one of the biggest priorities is reducing the cost of farm equipment, which has surged in recent years due to supply chain issues and environmental compliance requirements.
