President Donald Trump stepped in forcefully this week after learning that the mother of NBC “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie had gone missing under alarming circumstances in Arizona. Following a direct conversation with Guthrie, the former president ordered a full federal response, pledging every available resource to help bring her mother home safely.
Trump made his position unmistakably clear in a public statement posted to Truth Social, signaling that the federal government would spare no effort in assisting local authorities and the family during the search.
“I spoke with Savannah Guthrie, and let her know that I am directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family’s, and Local Law Enforcement’s, complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY. According to the White House, Trump had personally reached out to Guthrie by phone earlier in the day to offer support and reassurance as the search entered its fourth agonizing day.
