Shocking: ICE Forbidden From Arresting Protesters!

A sweeping court order out of Minnesota has delivered a major blow to federal immigration enforcement, raising alarms among law-and-order advocates and reigniting a national debate over who really controls immigration policy in the United States.

On Friday, U.S. District Judge Katherine Menendez, an appointee of Joe Biden, issued a Temporary Restraining Order blocking Immigration and Customs Enforcement from arresting individuals deemed to be “peaceful protestors” during ongoing operations in Minnesota. The ruling also sharply limits the tools federal agents can use to protect themselves and control crowds during volatile situations.

The case was brought by six individuals who sued the Department of Homeland Security, ICE, and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, demanding restrictions on ICE tactics amid a major enforcement push known as Operation Metro Surge.

That surge involves roughly 3,000 federal agents deployed across Minnesota to locate and arrest criminal illegal aliens. The scale of the operation alone made it a flashpoint for activist groups and Democrat officials who oppose stepped-up immigration enforcement.

Judge Menendez’s order goes far beyond basic protest protections. It effectively ties ICE’s hands while agents are in the field, even as they carry out lawful federal duties.
