Illinois Representative Mary Miller was among the most outspoken voices. In a post on X, Miller issued a blunt call for action.
“Invoke the Insurrection Act. Arrest Tim Walz,” she wrote.
Her statement reflects growing alarm among Republicans who argue that Walz’s rhetoric suggests an effort to obstruct federal law enforcement. Under federal law, the president has broad authority to respond when state officials interfere with the execution of federal duties.
