Mickey Rourke EXPLODES After Learning This

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

He pursued professional boxing, a brutal detour that permanently altered his face and nearly ended his acting career. Years of punishment in the ring led to extensive reconstructive surgery and long-term health issues.

Against all odds, Rourke clawed his way back with The Wrestler in 2008, earning an Academy Award nomination and global praise.

But recent years have brought a far darker chapter.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Rourke’s finances collapsed dramatically, falling from an estimated $5 million in early 2025 to roughly $50,000 today.

In December, Rourke was served a three-day eviction notice demanding $59,100 in unpaid rent for his Los Angeles home.

The property, a historic Spanish-style bungalow once occupied by crime novelist Raymond Chandler, had been rented by Rourke for $5,200 a month before new owners raised the rent to $7,000.

Rourke has accused the landlords of ignoring serious problems, including rodent infestations, while still demanding higher payments.

A GoFundMe appears without Rourke’s knowledge

Then things took a shocking turn.

Over the weekend, a GoFundMe campaign titled “Help Mickey Rourke Stay in His Home” suddenly appeared online, asking supporters to donate toward a $100,000 goal.

The page claimed it was launched with Rourke’s full approval and portrayed the actor as abandoned by Hollywood and broken by years of physical and emotional trauma.

Fans responded instantly.

Within two days, donations soared past $100,000. One anonymous donor alone contributed $5,000.

Messages poured in from supporters expressing gratitude for Rourke’s career and sympathy for his situation.

But there was a massive problem.

Mickey Rourke had absolutely no idea the fundraiser existed.

Rourke explodes on Instagram

On Monday night, Rourke posted a video to Instagram, visibly angry, with his rescue dog Lucky sitting on his lap.

Wearing a pink V-neck shirt and his trademark cowboy hat, the actor made his position unmistakably clear.

“Something’s come up that I’m really frustrated, confused and I don’t understand,” Rourke said.

“Somebody set up some kind of foundation or fund for me to donate money, like charity. And that’s not me, okay?”

Then his tone turned explosive.

“If I needed money, I wouldn’t ask for no f***ing charity. I’d rather stick a gun up my ass and pull the trigger.”

Rourke went on to say he had never even heard of GoFundMe and would never accept money from fans or strangers.

“Whoever did this, I don’t know why they did it. I wouldn’t know what a GoFund foundation is in a million years.”

He called the situation “humiliating” and “really f***ing embarrassing,” and demanded donors immediately request refunds.

“I don’t want anybody’s money. I want you to get your money back,” he said.

“But I would never ask strangers or fans or anybody for a nickel. That’s not my style.”

Rourke admitted he borrowed money from a close friend but insisted he would handle his struggles privately.

Manager scrambles to explain

After the video went viral, Rourke’s manager Kimberly Hines attempted to control the fallout.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Hines claimed the fundraiser was launched by her assistant as a “nice gesture” during a moment of crisis.

She insisted Rourke gave permission but may not have fully understood how GoFundMe functions.

According to Hines, the team acted out of desperation after Rourke received the eviction notice and lacked stable housing.

“We’re trying to do the best that we can,” she said.

She promised all funds would be returned if Rourke rejected them.

Rourke clearly was not buying it.

In his video, he strongly suggested he knew exactly who was responsible and said he planned to contact his attorney.

“I had to go to over 20 years of therapy to get over the damage that was done to me years ago,” Rourke admitted.

But he made one thing crystal clear.

“I got too much pride, man.”

For a man who has fought Hollywood, the boxing ring, and his own demons, this was one battle Mickey Rourke refused to lose quietly.
