Trump Hit With MAJOR Court Block in Blue States

A federal judge appointed by Joe Biden has stepped in to temporarily block President Donald Trump’s effort to suspend billions of dollars in welfare funding flowing to Democrat-run states.

On Friday, Arun Subramanian, a U.S. District Judge, issued a Temporary Restraining Order stopping the Trump Administration from enforcing a $10 billion funding freeze tied to welfare programs in five reliably blue states.

The order prevents the administration from halting federal money destined for California, Colorado, New York, Minnesota, and Illinois. The ruling will remain in effect for two weeks while both sides prepare additional legal arguments.

Trump Targets Welfare Programs After Fraud Concerns

Earlier this week, President Trump formally notified the five states that their welfare funding was under review and subject to immediate suspension.

Letters were sent to state officials outlining plans to pause federal payments for programs connected to childcare assistance and social services. The move came amid growing concerns within the administration that the programs were riddled with abuse, mismanagement, and improper payouts.
