Congress Turns on Bondi After Epstein Video

In a surprising twist that has raised eyebrows across Washington, Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna revealed Friday that he is working alongside libertarian-leaning Republican Rep. Thomas Massie to draft potential Articles of Impeachment targeting Attorney General Pam Bondi. The extraordinary move comes amid mounting frustration over what lawmakers describe as an incomplete and heavily redacted release of documents tied to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

The controversy erupted after President Donald Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act into law last month, a measure designed to force the full disclosure of federal records related to Epstein and his network. The legislation was touted as a long-overdue step toward accountability, transparency, and justice for victims.

On Friday, the Department of Justice finally released a batch of Epstein-related documents. But instead of restoring public confidence, the disclosure ignited backlash from across the political spectrum. The records reportedly revealed extensive references to former President Bill Clinton, alongside numerous redactions that critics argue obscure key facts.

For Khanna and Massie, the release fell dramatically short of what Congress intended. In a video statement posted Friday, Khanna criticized the DOJ’s actions and accused the agency of ignoring the law’s requirements. He argued that the document dump “does not comply with Thomas Massie and my Epstein Transparency Act,” while openly floating the possibility of impeachment proceedings against senior Justice Department officials.
