Depending on who you ask, the fact that the internet never forgets is either a blessing or a curse.
For New Hampshire Democrat Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, it turned into a nightmare during her Thursday appearance on Fox News.
The senator joined Fox & Friends to talk about the ongoing government shutdown, now stretching into its second day. As usual, both parties are pointing fingers, trying to convince Americans that the other side is responsible.
Shaheen, often labeled a “moderate” by media outlets, was clearly on the show to defend her party’s position. She tried to dismiss one of the GOP’s most effective lines of attack: that Democrats want to provide free healthcare to illegal immigrants.
But the problem for Shaheen? The record exists — and Fox wasn’t about to let her get away with rewriting history.
