“I live like a capitalist every single day, Cenk.”
He was talking directly to Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks at a 2018 Politicon debate. The smear artists twisted “Cenk” into a slur to paint Kirk as a raging bigot.
2. The “Black Pilot” Hoax
Another viral clip claimed Kirk said this:
“If I see a black pilot, I’m going to be like, ‘Boy, I hope he’s qualified.’”
Sorry but "black people are too dumb too fly planes" and "slavery was good for black people" arent moderate positions https://t.co/mhoiGTsQIW
Black people “Happening all the time in urban America, prowling Blacks go around for fun to go target white people, that’s a fact. It’s happening more and more.”
Black pilots “If I see a Black pilot, I’m gonna be like, ’Boy, I hope…
Again—completely misleading. He was criticizing racial quota hiring in high-stakes jobs like aviation, after United Airlines pledged to hire pilots based on diversity targets rather than merit.
Kirk clarified on The Megyn Kelly Show:
“That’s not what I believe. But what it does is it makes us worse versions of ourselves, Megyn… Of course, I believe anybody of any skin color can become a qualified pilot. That has never been my contention.”
As usual, leftists take clips out of context.. Charlie Kirk is talking about the consequences of DEI based hiring over merit based hiring: “If I see a see a Black Pilot, I’m gonna be like, I hope he’s qualified!” Other panelist: “And you’re wouldn’t have done that before!”… pic.twitter.com/4YOFPzHmnu
“I can’t stand the word empathy … I think empathy is a made up new age term that does a lot of damage.”
But in reality, Kirk was blasting how the left weaponizes the word “empathy” to push bad policy, not attacking the concept of compassion itself.
4. Guns and Freedom
Another distortion claimed Kirk callously said gun deaths were “worth it.”
Here’s what he really said at a Turning Point USA event:
Charlie Kirk (2023): "I think it's worth to have a cost of unfortunately some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the 2nd Amendment. That is a prudent deal. It is rational. Nobody talks like this. They live in a complete alternate universe." pic.twitter.com/sEHw5suXEW
“I think it’s worth to have a cost of unfortunately some gun deaths every single year, so that we can have the Second Amendment — to protect our other God given rights.”
He was making the point that liberty carries risks—but the alternative, tyranny, is far worse.
5. The “Stoning” Lie
Some even claimed Kirk supported executing gay people, citing this line:
“Thou shalt lay with another man shall be stoned to death … God’s perfect law when it comes to sexual matters.”
Stephen King is defaming the memory of Charlie Kirk.
King wrongly claims Kirk advocated for violence towards gay people.
The clip King is referring to actually shows Kirk illustrating how some people cherry-pick passages from the Bible.
Total nonsense. He was pointing out selective Bible quoting by left-wing activists and mocking their hypocrisy—not calling for violence.
6. The Attack on Black Women
Finally, critics claimed Kirk called all black women stupid. What he actually said was aimed at specific political figures like Joy Reid and Michelle Obama, accusing them of benefiting from affirmative action—not attacking black women in general.
So Karen Attiah says she quoted Charlie Kirk’s own words.
She did not. She said “you do not” — speaking of specific women — and Karen dishonestly changed it to “black women do not.”
These smears were launched the very day Kirk was assassinated—a coordinated, malicious effort to tarnish his name. Charlie Kirk’s family deserves better. As his widow Erika weighs legal action, one thing is clear: the left’s disinformation campaign collapsed the moment the facts came out.
