Most people have something in their yard they keep meaning to fix — a patch of weeds, a broken fence, or in this case… a rock that refused to go away.
For Indianapolis teacher Brendan Dudas, that stubborn rock became a summer project that took on a life of its own — and ended up shocking not only his neighbors but experts as well.
Dudas had been mowing around the same boulder for what felt like forever. Every time he cut the grass, it was like facing the same old enemy in his yard. Finally, during summer break, he decided enough was enough.
“I’ve just been staring at this boulder that was sticking out of my side yard, and being bored on summer break, I finally said I’m gonna start digging this thing,” Dudas told People Magazine.
