For years, the Left has been searching for the magic excuse to strip law-abiding Americans of their firearms. They’ve tried to sell the public on everything from “mass shooting epidemics” to “public health emergencies.” But now, thanks to a slip-up on live television, Democrats may have finally found their golden ticket.
The accidental blueprint revealed
During a recent CNN panel, Trump critic Jonah Goldberg was supposed to be hammering the former President’s approach to law and order in Chicago. Instead, he ended up saying the quiet part out loud.
“What is to stop a Democrat, a Governor Pritzker, a Governor Newsom, from saying, ‘We have a gun crisis in America, just as legitimate on the facts and arguments as a crime crisis, and we’re going to send the National Guard into states to go get their guns’?” Goldberg asked.
Think about that. A so-called “conservative” guest on CNN just openly floated the idea of using National Guard troops to go door-to-door confiscating firearms from citizens who have committed no crime.
