DeSantis’ Question Leaves Newsom STUNNED

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

DeSantis then contrasted Trump’s actions with Newsom’s distractions: “But what’s President Trump doing? He secured the border. He’s working to deport illegals. He’s working on peace agreements internationally. He’s focused on cleaning up Washington, D.C., things that actually matter. What is the Governor of California doing to help the people in southern California rebuild?”

That question landed hard — because everyone knows the answer. He isn’t.

DeSantis doubled down, pointing out Newsom’s empty promises and repeated failures. “They’re still on their backs. They haven’t rebuilt southern California after those fires,” DeSantis said. “Wasn’t he the guy that was supposed to end homelessness? Didn’t he have a plan like 10 years ago he’s going to do? And it’s obviously been a total disaster.”

While Trump works to secure the border and clean up Washington, DeSantis said, Newsom wastes his time pretending to be a political celebrity online. “So, he’s ignoring the problems in his own state in favor of posturing on social media and trying to take cheap shots at the President,” he added.

The numbers prove DeSantis’s point. California carries the highest state income tax in the nation, while Florida has none. California’s sales tax is also higher, piling more financial pressure on working families. And despite the state’s natural advantages — world-class coastlines, fertile land, and year-round weather — residents are fleeing in record numbers.

“You got to try to mess California up because they have so many things going for them. And somehow, he’s managed to do it and the people have fled,” DeSantis explained.

California’s homelessness crisis has exploded under Newsom’s watch. His decade-old promises have produced no results, leaving tent cities and lawless encampments across Los Angeles, San Francisco, and beyond. At the same time, emergency response failures — like hydrants running dry during fires — left neighborhoods to burn without defense.

And now, sanctuary policies have cost lives in Florida, when a driver who should never have been on the road ended up killing three innocent Americans.

Yet Newsom’s priorities remain clear: online posturing instead of real solutions.

DeSantis summed it up perfectly: “He thinks that’s going to ingratiate him with some of the far-left voter – maybe it will, but it’s certainly not advancing the ball for the people that he’s supposed to lead and represent.”

The bigger picture couldn’t be clearer. Conservative leaders like Trump and DeSantis focus on border security, law and order, and real reform. Liberal leaders like Newsom chase retweets while their states crumble.

And here’s the kicker: Gavin Newsom is eyeing a run for President in 2028. The man who can’t fix homelessness, can’t keep water in fire hydrants, and can’t keep illegal drivers off the road believes he deserves the White House.

Democrats may buy into it. But DeSantis just proved how to take him down — ask him what he’s done for his people. The silence that follows says everything.
