RINO Senator Just Got BAD News in Polls!

A fresh survey out of Texas has dropped a political bombshell—and it spells big trouble for longtime Senator John Cornyn (R-TX). According to polling from the Barbara Jordan Public Policy Research and Survey Center at Texas Southern University, Cornyn is trailing Attorney General Ken Paxton in the GOP primary fight. The numbers show Paxton pulling in 44 percent, while Cornyn lags behind at 39 percent.

That’s not the only bad news for Cornyn. The data reveals that Paxton has been in the lead in nearly every early poll so far. With only 17 percent of voters still undecided, Cornyn has a steep uphill climb ahead of him if he wants to hold onto his seat.

The survey also tested a three-way matchup including Paxton, Cornyn, and Rep. Wesley Hunt. In that scenario, Paxton still leads with 35 percent, Cornyn comes in second with 30 percent, and Hunt secures 22 percent. Thirteen percent of voters remain on the fence.

Many Texas conservatives have never fully trusted Cornyn, who has been branded a “Republican In Name Only” by grassroots activists for years. As the Statesman reported, “Cornyn, by contrast, was struggling to shed the RINO (Republican In Name Only) label some GOP activists had tagged him with, on the grounds that he was insufficiently loyal to President Donald Trump. Paxton, a fervent Trump supporter, had even filed court action in the doomed effort to overturn Trump’s 2020 presidential election loss.”
