In a massive win for law enforcement, the FBI has successfully dismantled what appears to be one of the most coordinated and violent domestic terror plots in recent memory—led by a radicalized ex-Marine with deep ties to far-left extremist groups. The manhunt ended when Benjamin Hanil Song, 32, was captured in Dallas after nearly two weeks on the run.

Final Piece of a Violent Puzzle
Song’s arrest marks the 15th in connection to a planned attack on the Prairieland ICE Detention Center in Texas on the Fourth of July—a day chosen deliberately, sources say, to send a political message. The suspect, who authorities say was the final missing link in the plot, had evaded capture for 11 days until FBI agents tracked him to a Dallas apartment complex.
“FBI Dallas safely apprehended Benjamin Song this afternoon in Dallas,” the bureau said in a statement. “Thank you to all of our law enforcement partners for aiding us in this search and apprehension. His arrest is the result of our determination to protect not only the community, but also our law enforcement partners that were the targets of a coordinated attack.”
