Gill DESTROYS “DEI Expert” in Fiery Hearing!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

“Should people be treated differently based on their race? It’s a yes or no question.”

Harper countered with a lengthy justification:

“It’s not a yes or no question…People should receive the services, support, and remedies that are owed to them because of systemic racism (in our society).”

From there, the Texas lawmaker drilled deeper, zeroing in on race-based considerations in hiring:

“Do you believe that race should be considered in employer hiring practices?”

WATCH:

Harper responded defensively:

“I do not believe that white people are the only qualified people…”

Gill quickly interrupted:

“I did not ask that. I asked if race should be considered in employer hiring practices. And you’re not going to intimidate me by slandering me as a racist.”

Harper insisted:

“I did not call you a racist…”

Gill pressed for clarity:

“It’s a yes or no question. Should race be considered in employer hiring practices?”

To which Harper replied:

“I believe that diversity should be considered by companies and other organizations…”

Gill shot back:

“I’ll take that as yes. Which race do you think should be preferred?”

Harper tried to deflect:

“I do not believe that a single race should be preferred.”

Yet Gill seized on the contradiction:

“You just said that race should be considered in employer hiring practices.”

Harper attempted to deny the implication:

“There’s going to be a transcript of this hearing. I did not say that.”

Gill demanded further explanation:

“Why don’t you explain what you believe?”

Harper began to elaborate:

“What I believe is the demographic composition of workplaces in our nation’s military…Our Congress ought to reflect…”

Gill cut in again to clarify:

“The racial demographic composition. Is that what you are saying?”

Harper expanded:

“Race, gender…”

Gill nailed the point home:

“So, race should be a factor in employer hiring practices. Is that what you’re saying?”

As the exchange grew more chaotic, crosstalk erupted, with Gill accusing Harper of evading the questions:

“You’re dodging the question. Who gets to determine which races are preferred?”

Harper faltered once more:

“I,I, already told you I don’t have a single…”

Gill reminded him of his earlier stance:

“You just told me that the racial demographic should be taken into account in hiring practices.”

Harper concluded:

“And it should be reflected in all companies and levels of hiring organizations.”

Gill offered one final hypothetical scenario, highlighting the consequences of race-based criteria in education:

“If two people are applying for college. One is white and one is black. Should they be evaluated based on the same objective criteria?”

Harper, thoroughly pinned down, could only say:

“I can’t answer that question for you as a proponent of holistic education.”

The tense exchange left Harper’s credibility in shambles, while Gill emerged as a forceful voice questioning the moral and legal foundation of DEI policies. Conservatives hailed the moment as proof that even supposed “experts” cannot defend policies that treat Americans differently because of their skin color.

For many watching, it was yet another sign that the tide may be turning against race-based initiatives as voters and lawmakers demand fairness and merit over ideological agendas.
