In what was initially hailed as a diplomatic success, Trump declared the formal end to “THE 12 DAY WAR,” announcing a ceasefire that was supposed to take hold by the 24th hour. “An Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World,” he proclaimed.
But just hours later, Israeli forces reportedly launched fresh strikes on Tehran, effectively nullifying the agreement. Trump didn’t hold back in assigning blame.
“I didn’t like plenty of things I saw yesterday. I didn’t like the fact that Israel unloaded right after we made the deal,” he said. “They didn’t have to unload, and I didn’t like the fact that the retaliation was very strong.”
The former president appeared visibly frustrated with Israel’s decision to continue military operations. “As soon as we made the deal, they came out and they dropped a load of bombs, the likes of which I’ve never seen before, the biggest load that we’ve seen,” he said.
He went further, suggesting the Israeli response was triggered by a single rocket that “didn’t land anywhere.” Trump insisted the conflict should have been de-escalated. “That’s not what we want, I’ll tell you. And I’m telling you, I’m not happy about that, Israel either.”
Trump also emphasized that he wasn’t taking sides, but playing the role of peacemaker. “All I do is play both sides,” he noted, before heading to Europe for NATO talks.
When pressed by a reporter about plans for Gaza and ongoing hostage issues, Trump reiterated, “We have to have Israel calm down because they went on a mission this morning. I got to get Israel to calm down now.”
Asked about the mutual accusations of ceasefire violations, Trump was blunt: “I think they both violated it. I don’t think— I’m not sure they did it intentionally. They couldn’t rein people back.”
WATCH:
Shifting his attention to the media, Trump eviscerated CNN and MSNBC over their coverage of the U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. “That place is under rock. That place is demolished. The B-2 pilots did their job,” Trump said. “I think CNN ought to apologize to the pilots of the B-2s. I think that MSDNC ought to apologize. I think these guys really— these networks and these cable networks are real losers.”
His words grew more scathing as he lambasted the networks for “hurting great pilots.” “You’re gutless losers,” he said. “CNN is scum, and so is MSDNC, they’re all. And frankly, the networks aren’t much better. It’s all fake news.”
In response to concerns about Iran rebuilding its nuclear capabilities, Trump was adamant: “Iran will never rebuild its nuclear. From there? Absolutely not. That place is under rock. That place is demolished.”
Despite the global tensions, Trump continues to promote the B-2 bombing raid as a success story, pushing back hard against any media skepticism. “Those pilots hit their targets, those targets were obliterated, and the pilots should be given credit. They’re not after the pilots. They’re after me.”
Trump didn’t stop there—he even name-dropped Comcast CEO Brian Roberts, who oversees MSNBC, calling him “a weak, pathetic disgrace.”
As tensions in the Middle East surge and global powers take sides, Trump’s message is unmistakable: America led the strike, he orchestrated the ceasefire, and now he demands both sides respect it—or risk losing U.S. support.
His final words on the matter? “I’m not happy with Iran either, but I’m really unhappy if Israel is going out this morning because the one rocket that didn’t land… that’s not what we want. Do you understand that?”
