Conservative commentator Dan Bongino has now weighed in on the story, hailing the armed response as a clear example of why Second Amendment rights matter.

Worship Turns into Warfare
Families had gathered at CrossPointe Community Church for a normal Sunday worship and vacation Bible school when chaos erupted just after 11 a.m. A man — later identified as 31-year-old Brian Anthony Browning — launched a violent assault on the church while dressed in tactical gear and armed to the teeth.
This was no impulsive act. Browning came ready for war. His arsenal included an AR-15-style rifle, a handgun, over a dozen fully loaded magazines, and hundreds of rounds of ammo. The calculated nature of his approach left no doubt — this was a premeditated plan to unleash hell on innocent people.
