Democrat Rep. Maxwell Frost just lobbed one of the most inflammatory accusations against law enforcement yet—and it didn’t take long for Homeland Security to hit back hard.

Frost, a progressive freshman from Florida, is once again courting controversy after appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. In a shocking tirade, he accused U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents of “human trafficking”—a claim so outrageous, it prompted an immediate and fiery response from federal officials.
“We have ICE federal agents pulling up, terrorizing our communities, hopping out of unmarked vans, stealing and yes, kidnapping people, not giving them their day in court and yes, human trafficking them to other nations, other countries around the entire world,” said Frost.
This wasn’t a policy critique. It was a full-blown character assassination targeting the men and women enforcing America’s immigration laws. Frost didn’t stop at wild allegations—he essentially painted ICE officers as rogue criminals operating outside the law.
