While some in the media are treating the letter as the delusion of a mentally unstable man, conservative watchdogs are demanding a full investigation into the matter. The letter, which sources say spans about a page and a half, also makes mention of Senator Tina Smith and outlines a supposed plan to “clear the way” for Walz’s political ambitions in Washington.
Though the claims are extreme and unverified, the seriousness of the accusation has turned heads.
“The letter is the clearest evidence yet of Boelter’s mindset after the targeted violence against Minnesota politicians last week,” reported the Star Tribune. The paper adds that the letter was “incoherent” and “confusing,” yet it still implicates Walz in an alleged scheme that, if even partially true, could shake the state to its core.
A spokesperson for Hennepin County Attorney Daniel Borgertpoepping declined to go into detail but issued this brief response: “Due to the seriousness of the allegations it contains, we will state only that we have seen no evidence that the allegations regarding Governor Walz are based in fact.”
Governor Walz’s office also released a statement late Friday in an attempt to shut down speculation.
“This tragedy continues to be deeply disturbing for all Minnesotans,” said Walz spokesman Teddy Tschann. “Governor Walz is grateful to law enforcement who apprehended the shooter, and he’s grateful to the prosecutors who will ensure justice is swiftly served.”
Senator Klobuchar, who was allegedly a direct target in Boelter’s supposed mission, responded with measured but strong words: “Boelter is a very dangerous man and I am deeply grateful that law enforcement got him behind bars before he killed other people.”
The shooter, 57-year-old Boelter, is a known figure in private security circles. He and his wife, Jenny Boelter—who mysteriously disappeared after being stopped by police with firearms, cash, and passports—ran a company called Praetorian Guard. Jenny has not been seen since the incident, adding another layer of mystery to the case.
While critics dismiss Boelter’s letter as paranoid fantasy, others are pointing to the timing, the contents, and the political targets as reasons to keep asking questions. The fact that Boelter directly named sitting politicians and included a detailed narrative of supposed “military training” and political manipulation raises serious concerns about whether he acted alone—or was emboldened by something deeper.
Given the growing distrust in federal agencies and political elites, many Americans are demanding transparency. What did the FBI know about Boelter? What connections, if any, existed between him and state officials? And why would a man go on a violent rampage while leaving behind what he believed was a confession?
As this story unfolds, one thing is clear: the people of Minnesota—and the nation—deserve the full truth. No spin. No cover-up. Just answers.
Stay tuned. This one isn’t going away.
