“No Kings” Protest Ends in Carnage—Driver Speaks Out?

Another leftist-organized protest spiraled into disorder this weekend after a vehicle plowed through demonstrators gathered in Culpeper, Virginia. The driver has been identified as a 21-year-old man who now sits behind bars, charged and held without bond.

The incident took place Saturday along the James Madison Highway, roughly an hour outside of Washington, D.C. Protesters had assembled as part of a nationwide “No Kings” movement — an anti-American, anti-border enforcement campaign timed to clash with patriotic events celebrating the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary and former President Trump’s 79th birthday.

According to authorities, at least one person was injured when the driver’s vehicle tore through the crowd. The suspect has been named as Joseph R. Checklick Jr., who now faces charges of reckless driving.

The radical protest was just one of over 1,800 anti-ICE demonstrations being held across the country. Leftist organizers intentionally avoided Washington, D.C., choosing instead to target communities in neighboring states like Maryland and Virginia — safer havens for their disruptive events.
