That lie didn’t last long.
Trump soon exposed Newsom’s bluff by revealing call logs that proved the conversation happened. Cornered, Newsom changed his tune and finally admitted to the phone call — but doubled down on accusing Trump of fabricating what was said.
“He’s been a stone-cold liar about what he said we talked about,” Newsom snapped. “I would love to share the readout, but I revere the office of the presidency, so I’ll keep it in confidence… He never discussed the National Guard. Period. Full stop. I would love to share with you what we actually talked about. It would send shivers up your f– spine.”
This latest Newsom tantrum shows exactly why California is descending into chaos.
Instead of taking action to end the riots, the governor spent 20 minutes on a political soapbox, lashing out at President Trump and comparing him to tyrants.
“He’s like the kings and dictators our Founding Fathers warned about,” Newsom ranted — conveniently ignoring the fact that he himself ruled California with an iron fist during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Let’s not forget: Newsom unilaterally locked down the state with 57 executive orders, bypassed the legislature, shut down businesses, closed schools, and restricted church attendance — all while enjoying five-star meals at the French Laundry with lobbyists and donors.
And when patriots dared to protest his unconstitutional mandates, Newsom threatened them with fines and arrests.
Eventually, even California’s own judiciary had enough. A judge issued a permanent injunction against Newsom’s abuse of executive authority, declaring that he had crossed the constitutional line one too many times.
But now, Newsom — who spent the pandemic playing autocrat — wants to lecture Americans about dictatorship?
The irony is hard to miss.
President Trump’s attempt to bring order to a city on fire was swiftly blocked by a Clinton appointee siding with a governor who has shown nothing but contempt for constitutional limits.
And now that Newsom has a federal judge shielding him, he’s strutting in front of cameras and pretending to be a moral authority — while California burns on his watch.
