Meanwhile, real developments inside the FBI are being drowned out by such political theater. Deputy Director Dan Bongino, a longtime conservative favorite, has reportedly become the target of rising threats, triggering an unprecedented response from the Bureau.
According to internal reports, the FBI has deployed a round-the-clock protective detail for Bongino—something never before seen for a deputy director. The enhanced security reportedly requires up to 20 agents and has already prompted a call for volunteers to take on “temporary duty assignments” to bolster the protective team.
