MSNBC Just Crossed the Line — It’s OVER!

Morin specifically called out Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen for focusing his attention on a known gang member while ignoring the family of a murdered American citizen.

The White House communications team didn’t hold back in slamming MSNBC and CNN for refusing to cover the story.

“SHAMEFUL that @CNN and @MSNBC refuses to take Angel Mom Patty Morin as she recounts the terrible tragedy of how an illegal killed her sweet daughter, Rachel,” posted White House Communications Director Steven Cheung on X.

Stephen Miller, Deputy White House Chief of Staff, echoed the outrage, saying, “CNN’s and MSNBC’s contempt for the victims of migrant crime is reprehensible.”

Now the situation may escalate to a legal and regulatory battle. Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr has issued a stark warning to Comcast, which owns MSNBC and NBC. He accused the media conglomerate of knowingly deceiving the public and failing to provide balanced news coverage—a direct violation of the “public interest” mandate required for maintaining a broadcast license.

“Comcast outlets spent days misleading the American public—implying that Abrego Garcia was merely a law abiding U.S. citizen, just a regular ‘Maryland man.’ When the truth comes out, they ignore it,” Carr said.

He continued, “Comcast knows that federal law requires its licensed operations to serve the public interest. News distortion doesn’t cut it. Abrego Garcia came to America illegally from El Salvador, was validated as a member of the violent MS13 gang—a transnational criminal organization—and was denied bond by an immigration court for failure to show he would not pose a danger to others. Why does Comcast ignore these facts of obvious public interest?”

The heat on MSNBC and CNN has intensified as critics say their editorial choices prove one thing: protecting their political narrative matters more than giving voice to American victims.

For now, only Fox News is airing the voices the others won’t touch. But if Chairman Carr’s words carry weight, MSNBC could find itself under the regulatory spotlight like never before. And if the FCC decides that the network’s conduct crosses the legal line, consequences may be more than just public criticism—they could lose their license altogether.
