Tucker Carlson isn’t staying quiet about the future of the Republican Party—and he just made one of the boldest predictions yet.
While political insiders are still laser-focused on Donald Trump’s current administration, Carlson is already looking beyond 2024. During a recent podcast appearance, the former Fox News host turned media mogul declared who he believes will carry the conservative movement forward. According to Carlson, one name stands above the rest: JD Vance.
“The only person in the entire Republican Party from my position who’s capable of carrying on the Trump legacy and expanding it, making it what it should fully be, is JD Vance,” said Carlson. “I think JD Vance will be the nominee.”
Carlson made the remark while discussing Trump’s first 100 days back in the White House and what lies ahead for the GOP. He emphasized legacy—something he believes every great leader aims to secure—and argued that Vance, Trump’s vice president, is the man to carry the torch.
The former Fox News star also brushed off Trump’s recent decision not to endorse a 2028 candidate during a February interview. Trump had said there are “a lot of very capable people” in the party who could run, but Carlson suggested that the lack of endorsement was more about political strategy than hesitation.
