In preparation for the 2024 election, the FBI is targeting Trump supporters.
According to a shocking Newsweek article, an unnamed “current FBI official” said that the FBI has been using undercover tactics to profile conservatives.
As stated in Newsweek:
“The federal government believes that the threat of violence and major civil disturbances around the 2024 U.S. presidential election is so great that it has quietly created a new category of extremists that it seeks to track and counter: Donald Trump’s army of MAGA followers.”

The source added, “Especially at a time when the White House is facing Congressional Republican opposition claiming that the Biden administration has ‘weaponized’ the Bureau against the right wing, it has to tread very carefully.”
According to Newsweek, more than 12 other federal employees were reportedly questioned about the targeted effort.

FBI’s Newsweek statement doesn’t dispute its own assertions.
“The threat posed by domestic violent extremists is persistent, evolving, and deadly. The FBI’s goal is to detect and stop terrorist attacks, and our focus is on potential criminal violations, violence and threats of violence,” stated the agency in a statement.
The declaration added:
“Anti-government or anti-authority violent extremism is one category of domestic terrorism, as well as one of the FBI’s top threat priorities.
“We are committed to protecting the safety and constitutional rights of all Americans and will never open an investigation based solely on First Amendment protected activity, including a person’s political beliefs or affiliations.”
The way the U.S. Justice Department handles those involved in the event at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, has generated controversy. Some contend that individuals who participated peacefully or who refrained from entering the structure shouldn’t be subjected to harsh punishment.
The agency mainly brushes off the responsibility attributed to leftist political activists for the catastrophic riots of 2020.
Christopher Wray, director of the FBI, supports the agency’s handling of the disturbance in the Capitol.
Officials were criticized by federal judge Trevor McFadden for placing Jan. 6 ahead of current political unrest in significant American cities.
“I think the U.S. Attorney’s Office would have more credibility if it was evenhanded in its concern about riots and mobs in this city,” According to Politico, McFadden stated this in October.
