In a significant development at the Ukraine Peace Summit in Switzerland, the U.S. government has pledged an additional $1.5 billion in aid to assist Ukraine in its ongoing struggle against Russian aggression. This substantial financial commitment, announced by Vice President Kamal Harris, aims to bolster Ukraine’s energy sector and provide critical humanitarian aid.

At the summit held in Lucerne, Switzerland, Vice President Harris detailed the allocation of funds, including a substantial $500 million specifically earmarked for energy assistance. Additionally, $324 million previously announced has been redirected to facilitate emergency repairs to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
