The Biden administration’s war on American energy just hit a brick wall — and his environmental allies are fuming.
In a move sending shockwaves through the climate activist ranks, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has announced that the Trump administration is ripping up a major set of rules designed to throttle coal power. The rules, introduced under Biden’s watch, threatened to squeeze coal plants out of existence with expensive, nearly impossible mandates for cleaning industrial wastewater.
Zeldin dropped the bombshell on June 30, declaring that the EPA will revise the 2024 Effluent Limitations Guidelines for Steam Electric Power Generating Units.
“In other words, the Trump administration is dismantling Biden’s attempt to kill coal power plants through impossible wastewater regulations,” the announcement read.
