Elon charges Media Matters of creating a phony account and using it to control posts and adverts. The purpose of this action was to mislead advertisers regarding the placement of their content. Elon made this charge in a statement that he made public early this morning.
As stated by Reuters:
Elon Musk declared on Saturday that Media Matters and the individuals behind the assault on social media platform X will face legal repercussions from X Corp. This occurs soon after a number of well-known American businesses removed their advertisements from Musk’s social media platform.
The media watchdog Media Matters revealed in a recent report that corporate ads from Apple, IBM, Comcast’s Xfinity, and Apple were disturbingly placed next to antisemitic content.
“The split second court opens on Monday, X Corp will be filing a thermonuclear lawsuit against Media Matters and ALL those who colluded in this fraudulent attack on our company,” in a post on X, the former Twitter, Musk stated.
