WWII Memorial Vandal BUSTED — Faces 10 Years!

A woman accused of defacing one of the nation’s most solemn war memorials is now in federal custody and facing two felony charges that could carry a combined sentence of up to a decade behind bars.

Federal authorities identified the suspect as Melissa L. Farris following the vandalism of the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The monument, which honors the more than 16 million Americans who served in the Armed Forces during World War II and the hundreds of thousands who gave their lives, was targeted Thursday in an incident that immediately drew outrage.
