Who Is Donald Trump’s Running Mate For 2024?

At Mar-a-Lago in November, former president Donald Trump launched his most recent campaign for the presidency with an emotional speech. The 45th president officially began a new chapter of presidential ambition by filing papers with the words “America’s comeback starts right now.”

The news that former President Donald Trump will run for president again has sparked a flurry of rumors about his choice for running mate. Politico was informed by a confidante that the choice would probably be made shortly. “from three general lanes of candidates: women, conservatives of color, or a trusted adviser.”

According to a former adviser close to the former president, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene looks to be establishing herself as the perfect running mate for Donald Trump’s probable 2024 presidential campaign. Come election season, if they do decide to join a ticket, it will undoubtedly be interesting—and maybe even dangerous!

Steve Bannon, presenter of the “War Room” podcast, said this week in an interview with NBC News: “This is no shrinking violet, she’s ambitious — she’s not shy about that, nor should she be. … She sees herself on the shortlist for Trump’s VP.”

When Greene “looks in the mirror, she sees a potential president smiling back,” Bannon noted further.

NBC News noted further:

Her “whole vision is to be vice president.,” according to a second person who has counseled Greene. According to the source, who has connections to Trump but requested anonymity to discuss private talks, Greene would also be on Trump’s short list.

According to sources close to NBC News, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is attempting to reinvent herself as a leader who can unite the Republican Party’s two factions—hardliners and its traditional base.

“She’s both strategic and disciplined — she made a power move, knowing it would run up hard against her most ardent crew,” Bannon added. “She was prepared to take the intense heat/hatred short-term for the long-term goal of being a player.”

Further highlighted by NBC News “Her push for McCarthy alienated some of her allies in the House Freedom Caucus and like-minded conservative activists, but that was a calculated risk, according to Bannon. Trump has not publicly given any indication that he is seriously considering a vice-presidential pick at this early point in the process, and aides did not respond to NBC News’ inquiries about Greene’s chances of ending up on a Trump ticket.”

John Greene has a history of friendship with Donald Trump, which has made him a potential vice presidential contender. His name comes up often when talking about probable running companions.

On MSNBC in October, New York Times Magazine writer Robert Draper discussed a prospective alliance between President Trump and a firebrand Republican from Georgia for the 2020 race.

“To be fair, it’s very likely that Trump has had this conversation with half a dozen other people too,” He explained to interviewer Ali Velshi that Greene could, nevertheless, possess a quality that other GOP women lack.

“What Greene possesses that Trump so craves is loyalty. She has always been there for Trump. She has always had his back and after his experience with his last running mate, Mike Pence, it’s clear that he’s going to prize loyalty above all else, so I wouldn’t count it out,” he said.

In a recent interview with The Daily Beast’s “New Abnormal” podcast, Draper remarked “that Greene had risen quickly in her first term in Congress by using the same tactics she honed as a right-wing social media influencer harassing Democratic staffers, and she could shoot to the second-highest office in government,” Raw Story reported.

“Republicans kind of wanted to kick her to the curb immediately,” said Draper, per the outlet. “But instead, she became a fundraising dynamo, came to have this huge social media influence, and ultimately came to be very influential within the party itself.”

According to Draper, President Trump has apparently been considering Marjorie Taylor Greene as his vice president for months. This may be seen as a crucial decision in the White House’s political strategy going into November.

“[Trump] has every reason to expect that Greene would be by his side and would be his proximate warrior” Draper said that this was through thick and thin.

According to a former assistant to Vice President Mike Pence, Former President Donald Trump has decided against choosing Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene as his running partner for the 2024 election.

Olivia Troye, a former key member of Vice President Mike Pence’s White House coronavirus response team, spoke with MSNBC anchor Jonathan Capehart about the current health catastrophe. “unfortunately for [Greene], honestly, Donald Trump is a shallow human being.”

“And I don’t think she’s gonna meet the looks match for him,” Troye said. “I hate to say that to disparage another female, but we know how shallow this man is.”
