Watch: Trump Stuns Courtroom with THIS to Judge!

Judge Lewis A. Kaplan has come to realize all too well that Donald Trump is not a man to be scared easily.

Judge Kaplan is overseeing the second case writer and professional loose screw E. Jean Carroll filed against the former president.

As you may remember, Carroll claimed that at some point in the 1990s, Trump had sexually attacked her in the changing room of a popular Manhattan department store. In a defamation lawsuit, a jury in New York City partially agreed with Carroll.

The real surprise is that they found only partially in her favor last spring; she wasn’t entirely sure when it happened or how it happened covertly in a crowded retail establishment, but whatever. A New York jury would find Trump guilty of killing Julius Caesar and being the second shooter on the grassy knoll.

She is suing Trump once more for remarks he made on his innocence in the previous lawsuit because he persisted in denying any wrongdoing in the case. It’s similar to “Inception,” except with torts instead of people.

The New York Times reported on the court hearings in the following “straight news” manner:

“As the writer E. Jean Carroll told a jury in a Manhattan courtroom Wednesday how Mr. Trump had wrecked her reputation and made her a target of his most fervent followers, the former president sat at the defense table and bridled,” the piece read.

“His comments” – he audibly referred to the defendant’s table trial as a “witch hunt” and a “con job” “the kind of protestations familiar from his rallies and speeches, were unusual only because they came amid a civil jury trial over a suit that Ms. Carroll had brought against Mr. Trump,” the piece continued. “She was testifying about what happened when Mr. Trump called her a liar after she accused him in 2019 of a decades-old rape.

“Suddenly, Mr. Trump’s grousing escalated into an extraordinary exchange after a lawyer for Ms. Carroll, out of the jury’s presence, cited Mr. Trump’s comments about Ms. Carroll’s testimony and complained that jurors might be able to hear him.

ALERT! Major Water Restrictions In Effect!

“The judge, Lewis A. Kaplan, who had sparred all morning with one of Mr. Trump’s lawyers, Alina Habba, over her objections to Ms. Carroll’s testimony, appeared to be losing his patience. ‘Mr. Trump has the right to be present here,’ the judge began, adding that Mr. Trump could forfeit that right if he is disruptive and if he disregards court orders.”

“I hope I don’t have to consider excluding you from the trial,” Judge Kaplan told Trump. “I understand you’re probably very eager for me to do that.”

Trump’s response: “I would love it. I would love it.”

The former president Bill Clinton chose Kaplan, who made an effort to hide his loss.

“I know you would, because you just can’t control yourself in this circumstance, apparently. You just can’t,” He stated, as reported by NBC News.

What is Trump’s response? He raised his hands and answered, “Neither can you.”

As someone mentioned on social media, “While the judge tries to intimidate, Trump turns the tables with his boldness.”

Put another way, don’t expect the subject of the trial to not consider it like a joke if you invite the entire world to a farce.

This is not to say that sexual misbehavior is not a significant issue; rather, the Carroll case may represent the most ridiculous example of left-wing legal tactics against the former president and current front-runner of the Republican Party.

Carroll’s ambiguous, unsubstantiated, and unprovable allegation of sexual assault against Trump coincidentally mirrored the storyline of an episode of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” — first appeared in her 2019 book, “What Do We Need Men For?: A Modest Proposal.” (I’ll save you the trouble: Jonathan Swift did it better.)

While the exact date of the charge is unknown, it should be noted that it happened almost 20 years ago. The accusation received significant attention from the media.

Then, according to CNN, #Resistance icon-hack George Conway persuaded the author and former Elle sex advice writer to sue Trump for slander.

If Kathy Griffin and Mitt Romney were to somehow become engaged in this trial, it would essentially become the NeverTrump equivalent of the “Seinfeld” epilogue.

Carroll modified a previous 2019 defamation lawsuit after she received a partial verdict last spring in order to bring Trump back into court.

Not to mention the various tribulations that Trump is going through, which coincidentally are all happening in the same election year when he is the front-runner in the polls and the de facto head of the opposition party.

Quelle surprise! How ironic that! And it was only a coincidence. Myth-mongers, this is nothing to see.

No, though; this is all something we should take very seriously. I go back to how the trial was covered by the Times:

“Mr. Trump’s behavior in court Wednesday may foretell clashes between a man who has assailed American institutions and a court system defined by decorum and restraint. Mr. Trump has tried to make his legal problems — which include four criminal indictments — a selling point for voters, and in recent days alternated between appearances in courtrooms and in politically important states.”

The public’s confidence is crucial to the legitimacy and integrity of American institutions, particularly the court. But ever since Donald Trump was elected president in 2016, this trust has been progressively declining. It now resembles a significant mudslide in Pacific Palisades.

It goes without saying that Trump is exploiting these cases as “a selling point for voters” because he can and because of the institutional debasement of the United States.

No sober-minded candidate would respond to a threat of being removed from the courtroom by saying, “I would love it,” if the system still required decorum and respect.

Rather, in the inverted reality of 2024, it is the only reasonable course of action for a rational leader.
