During an interview with Enrique Acevedo, host of Univision Noticias, Trump highlighted the potential for Mexico to become involved in a World War III scenario. News outlets have taken notice of this comment and it has sparked a lot of discussion.
“You could end up in World War III,” Trump said.

“And if World War III happens, probably Mexico will no longer be around. Because the power of nuclear weapons are so big, if they hit us, you’re gonna be wiped out too. That’s how bad it is.”
With complete context, which is absent from reports by the establishment media, Acevedo questioned Trump, “President Biden promised he would not add another foot of border wall during his administration. But now they’re building, I believe, around 20 miles of barrier in Texas. Do you think that’s a good decision?”

The front-runner for the Republican nomination then turned his attention to important foreign policy issues, like his interactions with China and Russia and the ongoing hostilities in Israel and Ukraine. Trump noted, “The relationship with him was so good (referring to López Obrador) that I think probably, if it’s me and I think it will be, I hope it will be based on the polls. We have to make sure we have an honest election. But if we have an honest election, I think we have a very good relationship with the new president of Mexico.”
