WATCH: J.D. Vance Puts Welker in Her Place Over Kamala!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Vance didn’t hold back, especially when Welker tried to downplay Kamala Harris’ role in the ongoing immigration crisis. Harris, who was designated as the “border czar,” has been heavily criticized for her handling of the border situation. Vance delivered a cutting retort when Welker attempted to defend Harris:

“Whatever the real number is, it’s way too high. It’s millions upon millions of illegal immigrants just since Kamala Harris became the border czar a few years ago,” Vance stated. When Welker tried to argue that Harris was only in charge of addressing the “root causes” of immigration, Vance shot back, “Well, the root causes of migration is that Kamala Harris refuses to do her job as Border Czar.”

Welker’s attempt to prop up the Biden administration’s record on border security was met with further resistance from Vance. She claimed that border crossings had decreased due to Biden’s executive orders, but Vance quickly debunked this narrative. He argued that the administration has merely made it easier for illegal immigrants to enter the country through so-called “legal” channels, rather than actually reducing illegal crossings.

Welker didn’t stop at immigration. She attempted to corner Vance on economic issues, specifically targeting Trump’s use of tariffs during his first term. She claimed that Trump’s tariffs had cost Americans nearly $80 billion in new taxes and insinuated that further tariffs would devastate the economy.

Vance, however, was well-prepared and dismantled Welker’s argument with facts. He pointed out that Trump’s tariffs were a response to unfair trade practices, particularly from China, where cheap labor is often used to undercut American workers.

“China and a number of other countries are using effectively slave labor to undercut the wages of American workers. Donald Trump thinks that has to stop,” Vance declared.

When Welker continued to push the narrative that Trump’s tariffs would hurt American consumers, Vance delivered another blow by highlighting the real impact of Trump’s trade policies:

“We had 12,000 factories that were built during Donald Trump’s presidency, inflation never really ticked about 2% his entire administration,” Vance explained, exposing the flawed argument that tariffs would lead to runaway inflation.

Throughout the interview, Vance demonstrated his ability to stay on message and effectively counter the mainstream media’s narratives. His performance on Meet the Press was yet another reminder of why President Trump chose him as his running mate. Vance’s ability to articulate Trump’s policies and push back against biased media questioning is exactly what the Trump campaign needs as they head into the 2024 election.

As the interview came to a close, it was clear that Welker’s attempts to trip up Vance had failed spectacularly. Instead, Vance used the opportunity to reinforce the Trump campaign’s positions on immigration and the economy, leaving little doubt about his readiness to take on the role of vice president.

J.D. Vance’s appearance on Meet the Press was a resounding success, not just for his campaign, but for the broader conservative movement. His ability to cut through the noise and deliver a clear, compelling message is exactly what’s needed in today’s media landscape. As the 2024 election approaches, it’s clear that Vance will be a formidable force on the campaign trail, much to the dismay of his political opponents.
