At the first GOP debate for the much awaited 2024 election, heated confrontations took center stage. This exciting contest, which was held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, attracted a wide range of Republican candidates who were all vying for their party’s prized candidacy. The conversation, which was moderated by Fox News host Bret Baier, heated up when the issue of former President Donald Trump was brought up. The query was both contentious and important: “If former President Trump is convicted in a court of law, would you still support him as your party’s choice? Please raise your hand if you would?”

Despite the difficult conditions, four contenders on the Fox debate stage emphatically vowed their unshakable support for Trump. DeSantis and Pence first appeared to struggle with their choice before joining the others in raising their hands.
The lone contender who didn’t raise his hand was Asa Hutchinson. He made a strong declaration about his stance by refusing to express his support for Trump in this circumstance.
“I am not going to support somebody who has been convicted of a serious felony or who has been disqualified under our Constitution and that is consistent with RNC rules and I hope everyone would agree with me,” Asa Hutchinson said.
Vivek used the chance to support Trump and disparage fellow contender Chris Christie.
“President Trump, I believe, was the best president of the 21st century. It’s a fact,” Vivek said, drawing cheers from some in the audience.
“Christie, your claim that Donald Trump is motivated by vengeance and grievance would be a lot more credible if your entire campaign were not based on vengeance and grievance against one man,” he continued.

The presenter intervened and quickly ended the debate when Chris Christie was subjected to a storm of jeers while defending himself.
“Well, so listen, the more time we spend doing this, the less time they can talk about issues you want to talk about. So let’s just get through this section,” He motioned for the audience to quiet down as he pleaded.
