US Taxpayer Dollars to Ukraine Exceed $110 Billion

US taxpayers have been on the hook for a hefty $1.7 trillion bill in only one year. It should be noted that this comprises more than $110 billion in aid given to Ukraine alone; on December 22, 2022, it was overwhelmingly approved by the Senate.

More than tripling its initial pledge of $66 billion made earlier this year, Congress has approved a massive $111 billion package of aid for Ukraine. The U.S.’s attempts to improve circumstances and create opportunities within the borders of Ukraine will undoubtedly feel supported by the population of that nation with the influx of money on the way!

This amount “would exceed by tens of billions the estimated average the U.S. spent every year on a full-scale war in Afghanistan, which had more than a hundred thousand U.S. forces committed to the nation at one point,” according to Kristina Wong of Breitbart News.

No matter how long Ukraine’s road to long-term success takes, the Biden administration has promised to support it firmly.

The omnibus bill’s $45 billion allocation for aid to Ukraine was a whopping $8 billion higher than what the Biden administration had originally asked.
