Federal authorities recovered 79 missing and endangered children during a sweeping operation across Ohio, including a 13-year-old girl discovered concealed in a crawlspace beneath a bedroom closet.
The U.S. Marshals Service announced the results of Operation Meridian after spending a month tracking children between the ages of 6 and 17.
Officials described the effort as the largest missing-child recovery operation ever conducted in Ohio.
